What is East End Reserve?
East End Reserve is meant to offer something more distinct than a standard car rental. These are heritage vehicles chosen because they suit the destination and enhance the experience of being here. The cars themselves come from iconic stylistic generations, and we add the details that make an island day feel complete, including Serena & Lily umbrellas, chairs, towels, and blankets when available.

How does the booking request process work?
The simplest way to reserve a vehicle is through the website. Select your dates, choose the vehicle you want, and submit a request. We review each request carefully, confirm availability, and then reach out to complete paperwork and payment.
How far in advance should I book?
For the most in-demand dates, it is best to book early. We do prioritize bookings of a week or more, especially over holiday periods.
What is the minimum booking length?
Minimum booking length varies by season and holiday period. As a general rule, weekend bookings require a Friday-through-Monday window, while weekday bookings require at least three days.
Where do pickup and dropoff happen?
Our vehicles are based conveniently at Nantucket Memorial Airport (ACK), which is the simplest handoff point for many guests arriving by air.
Do you offer airport pickup and island delivery?
Yes. Airport pickup at Nantucket Memorial Airport (ACK) is our standard handoff. Upon request, and for a fee, we can also arrange delivery and pickup elsewhere on the island, whether that is the ferry terminal or a private home.
What is included in the booking price?
The booking price includes use of the vehicle for the reserved period and use of the amenities stocked with that vehicle, which often include a Serena & Lily umbrella, chairs, towels, and a beach blanket. Vehicles also include the Nantucket town beach permit.
Is there a security deposit?
Yes. Security deposits are collected so that any minor cosmetic damage or missing items can be reconciled at the end of the booking. Deposits are returned within 7 days.
What do I need in order to book?
Guests must hold a valid U.S. driver's license and be at least 25 years old. Additional restrictions may apply, and we will reach out with any further requirements after reviewing your booking request.
Are there age requirements or driver restrictions?
Yes. Drivers must be 25 years of age or older.
Can the vehicles leave Nantucket or travel on the ferry?
No. The vehicles must remain on Nantucket and cannot be taken off-island or transported by ferry.
Are pets, beach gear, sand, or food allowed in the vehicle?
Pets and beach gear are absolutely welcome. We simply ask guests to leave the vehicle in tidy condition, brush out any excess sand, and return it generally clean.
Is mileage limited?
Mileage is unlimited.
How does fuel work?
We ask that the vehicle be returned with the same amount of fuel it had when delivered.
What happens if there is an issue during my booking?
We are available 24/7 via hotline if anything comes up during your booking.
